Migration to Klaviyo & "Done For You" Email Flows

Key Challenges

BOKSHA was using a custom website and hadn’t done much of email marketing before. They were getting a good amount of website visits but they did not have a solid email marketing automation strategy in place, so they were not converting much of their traffic into revenue by leveraging email marketing. They did not have any design templates that were reflecting the brand image properly and no system for acquiring subscribers from the website visitors.
Integration Between Klaviyo and Custom Website

Using a custom website was a challenge since that did not help us to use a plug-and-play approach with Klaviyo. All the event data that's happening on the website needed to enter properly into Klaviyo so we could use that info to trigger the right automated flows for the right people.

Acquisition & Retention

No proper email marketing flows were in place and all the traffic they were getting were not converted into subscribers or customers. Also, no retention strategy via emails

My Approach

I worked directly with their developers to migrate all the customer data into Klaviyo and integrated their custom website so the data sync was in place continuously. After successfully integrating the website with Klaviyo, I put together a custom email flow strategy that was tailored to their audience and their shopping behavior. I designed the email templates and wrote all the copy in each email by carefully crafting them according to their brand voice and image. For acquiring new subscribers, I designed pop-ups that would convert more and for retention, I came up with another popup strategy to increase repeat sales.

Results

BOKSHA’s new email flows generated $300,000+ in sales in 90 days of launching them. We were able to capture 7,000+ new subscribers and grow the database by 50% in 90 days. We created a custom sending domain and followed a strict sending protocol starting with the very engaged segments first. We achieved a good deliverability and sending reputation and scaled our sending carefully from there. This allowed us to also improve our engagement rate overall on all emails
